The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on a slight rise in gently undulating pasture. Slightly raised circular area (diam. 21m) enclosed by a substantial rubble limestone bank (Wth 4.35m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 1.2m). No fosse is visible at ground level. The original external facing, consisting of two courses of large square limestone blocks (av. dims. 0.4m square) survives at the external base of the bank SE-SW. No other facing is visible along the bank. The external side of the bank has been removed by small quarries at W and NW. Modern drystone field walls have been constructed on top of the bank NW-NE. A narrow laneway abuts the external base of the bank ENE-ESE. The original entrance to the site is not recognisable. The blocked entrance to a possible souterrain (SL005-015001-) is located to W of centre in the interior.
