The National Monuments Service's description

On N slope of a limestone ridge. This possible cashel was first recorded by Oliver Davies in the early 1940’s. His field report records ‘about half a cashel wall remains, faced with rough fairly large stones outside and small stones inside. It survives to almost 4ft [1.2m] high. It is rather ruinous and the top may have been rebuilt; the inner face is rather better preserved than outer. Thickness about 5 ft [1.5m]. West side entirely removed. Apparently circular, int. diam. c. 21 yds. [19m]’ (NMI Topographical Files). An inspection in 1991 recorded an arc of wall (Wth 0.6-0.8m; int. H c. 2m; ext. H 1.75m) of irregular boulders, curving NE−SE, largely obscured by overgrowth, but no trace of an enclosure was found during an inspection in 2003 (SMR files).
