The National Monuments Service's description

Marked as a D-shaped embanked enclosure (ext. dims c. 40m N-S; c. 35m E-W) truncated by a N-S field bank at E on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a rise in an undulating landscape. This is a D-shaped grass-covered area (diam. 26m E-W; c. 20m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (at W: Wth 7.2m; int. H 0.9m; ext. H 1.5m) E-S-W separated by a fosse (at S: Wth of top 6.4m; Wth of base 2.4m; D 0.7m) from an outer bank (Wth 3.5m; H 0.5m), which only survives SW-W. The original entrance is not identified. The N part of the monument is destroyed by ancient quarrying and is now overgrown.
