On a rise in an undulating landscape. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 35.5m N-S; 33.5m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 4-4.5m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.45-0.9m) which is frequently reduced to a scarp (H c. 0.8m), with a flat-bottomed fosse (Wth of top 5.4-6.6m; Wth of base 0.8-3.2m; D 0.3-0.6m) and an amorphous outer bank (at S: Wth 10m; max. H 0.3m). North of the centre is a house site (RO051-037002-) (dims 6m WNW-ESE; 5.6m NNE-SSE) defined by low earthen banks. The original entrance is not identified, and the interior is overlain by an E-W field wall N of the centre.
