The National Monuments Service's description
On a heart-shaped island (dims 100m N-S; 70m E-W) in a pool (diam. c. 250m) on a N-S section of the River Suck, which is now attached to the E bank. Situated at an angle in a fosse running S from the earthwork mound (RO050-044001-), c. 25m to the N, where the fosse turns E. This is a subcircular flat-topped grass-covered mound (diam. of top 6.8m E-W; 6.4m N-S; diam. of base 14.5m E-W; 12m N-S; H 0.2m at N to 1.1-1.6m generally), which may be spoil from the fosse.
