The National Monuments Service's description

On the summit of a WNW-ESE esker ridge. Grass-covered circular stoney platform (diam. of top 10.8m E-W; H 0.3-0.8m) with a few spaced kerbstones laid circumferentially and a slight outer fosse (Wth of base 1m; D 0.1m) which is reduced to a berm (Wth 1m) at N, at the edge of the ridge. A conical cairn (diam. 3.7-4m; surviving H 0.8m) with a flush outer face is at the centre of the platform, but the top of the cairn is missing. This cairn, or the mound, might be the feature that was disturbed in the 1950s (RO047-088----) when 'a jar with bones' was discovered (NMI file). It was disturbed by quarrying more recently and the S part of the platform to the edge of the central cairn has been removed. The possible barrow (RO047-058016-) is 8m to the W.
