The National Monuments Service's description

Marked as a small feature (diam. c. 10m) in a small triangular lake (dims c. 75m N-S; c. 40m E-W) on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated in a hollow which is frequently flooded in a gently undulating landscape. This is a subcircular grass-covered mound of broken and burnt stone (dims 7.8m E-W; 6.2m N-S; H 0.8-0.9m).
