The National Monuments Service's description
Marked only on the 1927 ed. of the OS 6-inch map as a D-shaped quarry (dims c. 30m E-W; c. 25m N-S), and situated on a gentle N-facing slope. This is an irregularly-shaped area (dims c. 38m E-W; c. 32.5m N-S) with bushes which is sunken (D c. 0.7m) and has an irregular surface in the interior. A reservoir has been built partly on the location since 2005 (OSI aerial images).
