The National Monuments Service's description
At the crest of a slight E-W ridge. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 44.8m N-S; 43m E-W) defined by a rounded fosse (Wth of top 6.5-8.8m; Wth of base 2.9-4.8m; D 0.65-1.4m) ENE-S-NNW with slight traces of an inner bank (L 7m; Wth 3.6m; int. H 0.35m) at WSW. The outer edge of the fosse is bounded by field banks E-S and WSW-WNW, and there is a quarry on the inner edge of the fosse at S. There is no identifiable original entrance, but souterrain (RO035-014003-) is inside the perimeter at NE. Rath (RO035-014001-) is c. 70m to the W, and a roadway (RO035-104002-) defined by slight scarps (H 0.03-0.1m) on either side extends N from the rath (L c. 200m). Archaeological testing (04E1297) immediately to the E of this road in 2004 produced no archaeological material (Read 2007h).
