The National Monuments Service's description

At the crest of the N-facing slope of an WNW-ESE ridge, c. 250m N of the broad WNW-ESE ridge of Carnfree. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 35.5m N-S; 34.5m E-W) defined by a slight earthen bank (Wth 4-5.5m; H 0.1-0.2m), with slight traces of an internal fosse (Wth c. 7m) at S. There is no identifiable original entrance (ext. diam. c. 38m E-W). Standing stone (RO028-068003-) is at the centre, and standing stone (RO028-067----) is 40m outside the perimeter to the E. Rath (RO028-245----) is c. 140m to the W. The bank was clearly visible when Beranger drew it and its standing stone in 1779 (Wilde 1870-1, 250-1) and when Knox saw it (1914b, 351).
