The National Monuments Service's description
This site was the only site recorded at the northern end of the bog. The platform (Wth 6.3m; D 0.4m) was visible exposed in a drain face, 0.1m below the field surface. It was orientated NE-SW and was composed of poor to moderately well preserved longitudinally laid roundwood and brushwood underlain by transversely laid roundwood. The elements were densely laid 0.02 to 0.15m apart. The roundwood and brushwood ranged from 0.06 to 0.14m and from 0.03 to 0.05m in diameter, respectively. The underlying peat was composed of moderately humified Sphagnum-rich peat with frequent Eriophorum and Calluna inclusions. It produced C 14 dates ranging from AD 410-530.
