The National Monuments Service's description
Situated towards the W edge of Cloonshannagh bog, c. 20m N of the E end of togher (RO024-024----). The platform (Wth 3.2m; T 0.35m) was exposed in the drain face, 0.45m below the field surface. It was orientated E-W and was composed of moderately preserved longitudinally laid roundwood and brushwood laid up to three elements deep. The elements were densely laid 0.01 to 0.06m apart. The roundwood and brushwood ranged from 0.06 to 0.10m and from 0.02 to 0.05m in diameter, respectively. The underlying peat was composed of well humified Sphagnum-rich peat with frequent Calluna inclusions.
