The National Monuments Service's description
This site was located close to the W edge of Cloonshannagh bog, 7m NW of platform (RO024-029----), c. 7m S of platform (RO024-030----), and c. 20m N of a section of the togher (RO024-024----). It was visible in a drain face, 0.02m below the field surface. The platform (Wth 3.9m; T 0.42m) was composed of moderately preserved randomly laid roundwood, brushwood and twigs. The elements were sparsely laid 0.02 to 0.56m apart. The roundwood and brushwood ranged from 0.06 to 0.11m and from 0.01 to 0.05m in diameter, respectively. The peat was composed of poorly humified Sphagnum-rich peat with moderate Eriophorum and Calluna inclusions.
