The National Monuments Service's description
Towards the top of a steep NW-facing slope. Oval grass-covered area (dims 34m N-S; 26m E-W) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 2.7-4.5m; int. H 0.2-0.4m; ext. H 1.1m at S to 2.2m at W) which is reduced to a scarp (H 0.1m) NE-SE, and a complete fosse (Wth of top 2.3-8.5m; Wth of base 2.2-3.3m; D 0.9-1.1m) which has been extended into a pond at NW. There is no identifiable original entrance, and the fosse (Wth of top 3.8m; Wth of base 1.9m; D to W 0.1m; D to E 1.2m) alone separates it from rath (RO023-014002-) which is immediately to the E. A field wall circumscribes the N perimeter of both monuments. The probable rath (RO023-013----) is c. 100m to the WNW.
