The National Monuments Service's description

On a S-facing slope of Rathcroghan. Described as a circular area (diam. 30m E-W; 27.5m N-S) defined by an earthen bank and fosse with an entrance (Wth 3.5m) at SSE (Gannon 1972), and as a cashel (Herity 1984, 137). There are slight traces of an enclosure (int. diam. 33m; ext. diam. 41.5m) defined by a slight stoney rise (H 0.1m) within a coniferous forest. Rath (RO022-099----) is c. 250m to the WNW.
