The National Monuments Service's description
On Rathcroghan plateau, extending ESE from Rathcroghan mound (RO022-057010-). Geophysical survey has recorded a double linear feature or ceremonial avenue extending ESE from the base of Rathcroghan mound, mirroring the linear feature (RO022-057094-) associated with enclosure (RO022-057085-), just to the N. The arms are 46m apart where they attach to what may be a palisade trench or fosse at the base of the mound (diam. c. 80m) and c. 65m apart further E. The arms are at least 100m long, but it is not known if they extend as far as or beyond the perimeter of ceremonial enclosure (RO022-057012-). Each arm is represented by a single feature, probably a palisade trench or fosse, and together they funnel traffic towards the single opening in the palisade feature around the base of the mound. The ring-barrows (RO022-057013-; RO022-057014-) are centrally placed between the two arms c. 70m from the mound. (Waddell et al. 2009, 162-5, 193)
