Barrow - ring-barrow

The National Monuments Service's description

On a slight rise at the E edge of the Rathcroghan plateau. Described as a central mound (diam. c. 11m) surrounded by a berm (Wth c. 3.5m) and outer bank (Wth c. 1.8m; H c. 0.75m) (Knox, 1914, 35, ring No. 3). It is visible as a slight grass-covered depression (diam. 23.7m N-S; 22m E-W) defined by a slight bank (Wth c. 4m - c. 7m; int. H 0.1m; max. ext. H 0.4m) E-NW, and a scarp (max. H 0.3m) down to the centre elsewhere. (Herity 1983, 131; 1984, 131, Glenballythomas 12; Waddell 1983, 41, No. 48)
