The National Monuments Service's description

On a rise in an E-W valley at the bottom of the N-facing slope of Rathcroghan ridge. Oval grass-covered hillock (dims 46m NW-SE; 27m NE-SW; H c. 2m) defined at the base by a scarp (H 0.6-0.8m) and fosse or drain (Wth c. 1m; D 0.2m) with an outer bank (Wth c. 2m; H c. 0.2m) or berm (Wth 3.4-7.3m) defined by a scarp (H 0.4-1m). There is a low mound (RO022-056013-) (diam. 6m; H 0.2m) just NE of the summit, and a NE-SW drain (Wth of top 5m; Wth of base 2m; D 0.4-0.8m; L 15m) with upcast banks (Wth 2.5-4m; ext. H 0.2-0.3m) on either side was dug through the interior at SE. It is circumscribed by a field drain and field bank SW-W-NE.
