The National Monuments Service's description

Marked as a D-shaped area on the 1837 and 1927 eds of the OS 6-inch map, and situated towards the top of the S-facing slope of an E-W ridge. D-shaped grass-covered area (dims 75m E-W; 48m N-S) defined by a scarp and hedge (H 0.7-1.2m) E-S-W, with a fosse (Wth of top 6m; D 0.3m) and traces of an outer bank (Wth 3.5m; ext. H 0.2m) E-SE. There is a modern entrance (Wth 5m) at W. The monument is truncated by an E-W road at N and does not survive N of this feature. Archaeological testing (03E1009) immediately to the NE on the N side of the road failed to produce any related material (Read 2006p).
