The National Monuments Service's description

Marked only on the 1929 ed. of the OS 6-inch map as a tree-ring, and situated a the W end of a low WNW-ESE ridge. D-shaped grass-covered platform (dims 30.7m N-S; 25m E-W) defined by a scarp (H 0.3m E-S to 1.1m at N) separated by a berm (Wth 3m at S to 7m at N) from an earthen bank (Wth 2.5-3.5m; int. H 0.2-0.7m; ext. H 0.8-1m) and outer fosse (Wth of base 1.5-1.7m; D 0.2-0.7m). There is no visible entrance, but a N-S trench (Wth 9m; D 1m) has been dug between the platform and bank at W, creating the straight edge of the platform (L 24m), and the interior is planted with mature deciduous trees (max. ext. diam. c. 52m N-S). Archaeological testing (03E0892) immediately to the NE during 2003 failed to produce any related material (Read 2006c).
