Marked as a functioning road on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, its continuation to the E functions as laneway running N-S today and its W continuation after a gap of c. 350m was a functioning road on the 1837 ed. Running WNW-ESE across a gentle N-facing slope (L c. 1.5 km), and removed over much of its length, but preserved at the E and W ends. A grass-covered road (Wth 10m at E to 15.5m at W) bordered by silted drains (Wth of top 2-3m; D 0.1-0.3m) and earthen banks (Wth 2.8-3.6m; int. H 0.7m; ext. H 0.7m), or banks and external drains.
