The National Monuments Service's description

Situated c. 60m from the SW shore of Tully Lough, a tear-shaped lake (dims. c. 600m NW-SE, c. 120m NE-SW at SE to c. 400m NE-SW at NW). Circular overgrown island (diam. 23.5m; H 1.2m) of earth and stone with horizontal timbers and some verticals visible at the E side. Quernstones have been recovered from it (Lucas 1961, 98), and crannogs (RO017-204----), (RO017-110----) and (RO017-112----) are c. 190m, c. 180m and c. 310m to the NE, ENE, and ESE respectively.
