Towards the top of an E-W ridge overlooking Lough Nahinch, c. 230m to the S. Subcircular grass-covered area with some mature deciduous trees (dims 35m N-S; 31m E-W) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 6.7m at S to 10m at NW; int. H 0.5m at S to 1.7m at NW; ext. H 1.8-2.1m) ESE-W-ENE which is reduced to a scarp (H 1m) at E, and a complete fosse (Wth of top 7-8.5m; Wth of base 3m at N to 5.5m at S; D 0.9m). There is an outer grass-covered stone spread (Wth 3.2m; H 0.4-0.6m) SE-S and at NE. The widened entrance (Wth 8m) and causeway (Wth 3.5m) are at E, and an E-W field bank bisects the interior.
