In a low-lying position on a NW-facing slope. It is depicted as a hachured feature only on the 1911 edition of the OS 6-inch map. Circular grass and scrub-covered area (diam. 24m N-S) with some trees defined by a grass-covered earthen bank (Wth 8-10m; int. H 0.8m at N to 2m at SW-W; ext. H 0.8m at SW to 1.25m at N) with some bushes SSW-N-E, and a scarp down to the interior (H 1-1.9m) elsewhere. There is no visible fosse or entrance. It might be an old quarry.
