The National Monuments Service's description

Marked as a wooded enclosure (diam. c. 40-50m) on the 1837 and 1914 eds of the OS 6-inch map, and situated towards the top of a N-facing slope, c. 500m E of Kinard House and c. 250m SE of Smith Hill House. This is a tree-ring (diam. c. 40m), now used as a small field.
