The National Monuments Service's description

Marked as a circular wooded area (diam. c. 40-45m) on the 1837 and 1914 eds. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a level landscape c. 80m N of Smith Hill House. This is the remains of a tree-ring (diam. c. 40m) in the parkland of Kinard House, which was built c. 1790 and is situated c. 370m to the SW. An arc of the perimeter survives SW-W-NE (C c. 40m).
