The National Monuments Service's description
Marked only on the 1914 ed.of the OS 6-inch map where it is named 'Doonaun Beg', and situated on a shelf at the bottom of a S-facing slope at the NW corner of Cloonacolly Lough (dims c. 1-1.3km NW-SE; c. 500-600m NE-SW). Oval grass-covered mound (dims of base 21.6m E-W; 15.6m N-S) which is flat-topped (dims of top 13m E-W; 6.3m N-S; H 1.4m at W to 2m at S). It is slightly quarried around the base at S and on top. The possible crannog (RO013-028----) is c. 180m to the SW, and the mound called Doonaun More (RO013-030----) is on the shore c. 400m to the ESE.
