On a low-lying landscape. Discovered in monitoring a road project during 2003 (Halliday 2006, 424, site 3), and excavated (03E1770) by J. Carroll (2006, site 3). Oblong pit (dims c. 1.5m x c. 0.7m) with a reddened clay edge but filled with charcoal and clay. It may have been part of a corn-drying kiln. Burnt spread (RO011-164001-) is c. 20m to the SE and the excavated features (RO007-100----) are c. 10m to the N.
