The National Monuments Service's description
On a low-lying landscape. First discovered in centre-line testing (Murphy 2000c, 179, No. 562) of a road project during 1998 and also in 2003 (Halliday 2006, 424, site 2). It was excavated by J. Carroll. A small spread of burnt stone in a black matrix (dims 1.1m x 1m; T 0.15m) filled a small irregularly shaped pit. Pit (RO011-164002-) is c. 20m to the NW (Gannon 2004, 5).
