The National Monuments Service's description

At the crest of the W end of an E-W ridge. Rectangular grass-covered platform (dims 37.3m ENE-WSW; 25.7m NNW-SSE) defined by earthen banks (at NNW: Wth 3-3.8m; int. H 0.7m; ext. H 1.5m) at WSW, SSE and ENE, and a complete flat-bottomed moat (Wth of top 4.7-6.7m; Wth of base 2.6-5m; D 0.8-1m), with outer banks (Wth 4-4.5m; ext. H 0.9-1.2m) on all sides except the WSW. A field bank runs through the base of the moats at SSE and WSW, and a pond has widened the fosse at ENE (Wth 9m). There is no visible entrance.
