The National Monuments Service's description
Within the graveyard (RO007-087002) and just E of the church (RO007-087001-). This is a low altar-like rectangular structure (dims 1.5m N-S, 0.7m E-W) consisting of upright limestone sidestones, surmounted by a large flat slab. Local tradition regards this feature as the tomb of St. Eiden, but it was mistaken for a megalithic tomb (Borlase 1897, vol. 1, 197). (O Flanagan 1931, vol. 1, 121-2; D'Alton 1845, 117; Wakeman 1887-8, 107-11)
See the attached sketch and plan of St. Eiden's Grave from Wakeman (1887-8, 109).
