The National Monuments Service's description

On the lower S-facing slopes of a rise, c. 80m from the N shore of an arm (dims c. 750m N-S; c. 350m E-W) of Lough Eidin, and probably a chapel-of-ease serving a portion of Arcarn parish on this shore of the lough. This is a rectangular structure (int. dims 17.6m NE-SW; 8.5m NW-SE) defined by a grass-covered stone spread (Wth 2.3-2.5m; H 0.2-0.5m) within a D-shaped enclosure (dims c. 70m E-W; c. 35m N-S) which has the straight side at N. There is no evidence of burial although there is local knowledge of bones (RO007-038004-) having been found SE of the church. There is a bullaun stone (RO007-038002-) of limestone (dims 0.60m x 0.55m; H 0.5m) with a central, circular basin (diam. 0.3m; D 0.19m) within the church. A low scarp c. 22m E of the church may represent part of an original enclosure (RO007-038003-). Archaeological testing (19E0066) for a forestry road at the W edge of the field c. 50m distant produced no related material (Henry 2019: excavations.ie 2019:561).
