The National Monuments Service's description
On a level landscape. Excavation (96E0050) of the burnt mound (RO006-207001-) revealed a brushwood togher (dims 5.5m NE-SW; 1.5m N-SE) immediately to the SE which had been truncated by drains at either end. The trackway had been laid down on a layer of sandstone and silt and pegged in place. (Opie 1997b)
