The National Monuments Service's description
On the lower NW-facing slope of Longford Hill, just above the SE shore of Lough Key which is c. 80m distant. Subcircular area (dims c. 40m NW-SE; c. 30m NE-SW) defned by the positive magnetic anomaly of a narrow trench recorded in a remote sensing survey of 1.2ha in 2005 (Murphy et al. 2005). Moated site (RO006-202001-) is c. 15m to the NE.
