The National Monuments Service's description

Marked only on the 1914 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on marshy ground on the S shore of a bay at the SE angle of Lough Key, at the point where the Boyle River leaves the lake. Oval grass-covered area (dims 46.5m NW-SE; 26.5m NE-SW) defined by a stony scarp and hedge (H 0.9-1.6m) NE-NW and protruding into the lake NW-NE. There is no visible bank, fosse or entrance.
