The National Monuments Service's description
Marked as a ruin on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map and described as a church (OS Name Books). Situated in a mature deciduous wood at the NE edge of a promontory (dims. c. 250m E-W; c. 250m N-S) which juts E into Lough Key. Rectangular structure (ext. dims. 14.1m N-S; 6.7m E-W) defined by drystone walls (T 0.7-0.9m; max. H 1m). It is divided into a N compartment (int. dims. 5.4m E-W; 3.15m N-S) and a S compartment (int. dims. 9.3m N-S; 5.95m E-W) with a small corral (int. dims. 3.2m E-W; 2.2m N-S) defined by drystone walls attached to the exterior of the E wall. The foundations of a drystone wall (L 9m) extend S from the SE angle of the corral.
