The National Monuments Service's description

On top of a low natural rise in upland area. Circular round topped mound (H 2.5m; diam. 13m E-W) with several stones protruding from the top of the mound. Possible berm halfway up the side of the mound. The base of the mound is damaged at N due to modern disturbance.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Offaly' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
