The National Monuments Service's description
Unlocated, site has recently been bulldozed during field clearance and dumped into the nearby field ditch. Depicted as 'Stone' on 1840 edition of OS 6-inch map. Described in 1943 as a 'Pillar Stone' measuring 4 feet 10 inches high (ITA Survey 1943).
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Offaly' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
