The National Monuments Service's description
The site (L 2.16m min.; Wth 3.15m; D 0.09m min.) is orientated NW-SE and consists of a regular but dispersed deposit of over twenty pieces of brushwood, a roundwood and occasional twigs. The brushwood (diam. 0.015-0.035m) is similarly orientated N-S with some evidence of coppiced heels. All of the wood is in good condition although the site has suffered badly from machine damage, with some pieces displaced to a semi-upright position. The site lies in poorly humified Sphagnum peat with frequent Eriophorum and occasional ericaceous remains.
