The National Monuments Service's description
A deposit (L 2.7m; Wth 1.5m min.; D 0.08m) of brushwood (diam. 0.017-0.056m), roundwoods (diam. 0.075-0.11m) and a single stake (diam. 0.025m), interspersed with beds of twigs. The stake is set at 65º. The elements are closely spaced and orientated NE-SW. The wood is in good condition and may represent the remains of a more substantial structure. This site lies in moderate to well-humified Sphagnum peat with Eriophorum. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2002. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
The original survey description was compiled by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin). Assessed and revised by: Caimin O'Brien, Paul Walsh
