The National Monuments Service's description

The site (L 3.15m; Wth 1.917m; D 0.085m) consists of a stout hurdle panel and densely packed, mixed brushwood with occasional twigs. Most of the elements are regularly laid and orientated E-W. The remainder are orientated N-S but the overall site orientation is indiscernible. The hurdle appears to be of single sail construction and consists of two sails (diam. 0.039-0.048m) and at least twenty-four rods (diam. 0.019-0.035m). There is also a piece of brushwood that runs diagonally beneath the rods. In general, the wood is in good condition but some elements are milled and fragmented or desiccated. The site lies in moderately humified Sphagnum peat with some Eriophorum and ericaceous remains. Radiocarbon dated to 1372-975 cal. BC (Wk-11725). SMR OF019-029---- is 2.3m to the W and SMR OF019-027---- is 2.5m to the E.
