The National Monuments Service's description

A large deposit of mixed brushwood, light roundwoods and occasional twigs (L 3.36m min.; Wth 1.45m min.; D 0.3m min.). The site has been extensively disturbed but light brushwood, twigs and pieces of root are present up to six pieces in depth. To the E of this are lighter elements that appear to be ex situ. To the W the material is less disturbed and consists of densely laid brushwood and roundwoods, orientated NE-SW. Although highly fragmented, the wood within the site is in good condition. Branch-trimming and two metal-cut wedge points were noted. This site appears to be overlaid by moderately humified Sphagnum peat with a large amount of bark, wood chips and forest debris. SMR OF018-148---- lies c. 5m to the NE. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2002. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
