The National Monuments Service's description

The site (Wth 2.9m; D 0.36m) consists of an assemblage of brushwood and a roundwood in the drain face which may represent three distinct constructions. On the SW side of the drain face, the first group is comprised of a roundwood with some light brushwood, lying within the same peat stratum as SMR OF018-042----, 0.75m to the NW. A second group is located 0.37m to the NE and consists of twelve irregular pieces of light brushwood. This is within the same peat stratum as the upper material of SMR OF018-043----. The third group lies 0.92m to the SW and consists of fourteen pieces of light brushwood which may represent a hurdle. This group sits in a similar peat stratum to the main concentration of SMR OF018-043----. Wood species are dominated by hazel, with alder and ash also recorded. The wood is in poor condition and is in fen peat. The site is located 1.2m and 4.7m NW of SMR OF018-045---- and SMR OF018-042----, respectively. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1997. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
