The National Monuments Service's description
Not visible at ground level. According to local information a row of new houses were located on the site of this linear earthwork. The earthwork consisted of a wide flat bottomed fosse of which several were dug in this area.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Offaly' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
