The National Monuments Service's description

The site (Wth 2.09m; D 0.43m) consists of a collection of brushwood and a roundwood, orientated NE-SW in the drain face. The wood is densest towards the centre of the site (Wth 0.46m; D 0.1m). Another cluster occurs on the NW side of the site. Metal-cut toolmarks are noted on some of the pieces. The site sits in poorly humified Sphagnum peat containing ericaceous root and Eriophorum. Wood species include willow, ash, alder, hazel, birch, Crataegus and oak. The site is located a minimum of 0.22m above section at the central portion of SMR OF015-325---- and 0.06m above SMR OF015-447---- which is 0.43m to the NW. SMR OF015-430----, SMR OF015-346----, SMR OF015-365----, SMR OF015-414---- and SMR OF015-448---- are also in the vicinity of this site.
