The National Monuments Service's description
A hurdle panel (L 2.22m; Wth 2.4m; D 0.1m) on the field surface which has been partially damaged by milling activity. The panel is set on a substructure of overlapping brushwood, two pieces of which have tear marks. It consists of two sails and c. 90-100 light brushwood rods, 3-5 pieces deep. Most of the rods (L 1.2m min.) appear to run below the sails. They are densest on the W side, having been damaged or displaced on the E. A number of outlying rods are also probably the result of displacement. The sails are orientated NW-SE and are located 0.67m apart. The hurdle has been secured in place by c. six small, irregularly placed stakes. There is possible evidence for coppicing. The site is set in moderately humified Sphagnum peat containing fibrous and ericaceous roots, Eriophorum, Menyanthes and hazelnuts. Also located in this area are SMR OF015-325----, SMR OF015-430----, SMR OF015-346----, OF SMR OF015-414----, SMR OF015-446----, SMR OF015-447---- and SMR OF015-448----.
