The National Monuments Service's description
A dispersed band (Wth 2.45m; D 0.3m) of predominantly light brushwood and occasional twigs in the drain face. Two clear groupings of wood can be distinguished, c. 0.9m apart. The N group lies at a slightly higher level than that to the S but the two are similar in composition. In both groups, the brushwood is irregularly laid. Towards the N end of the site, there is a larger concentration of twigs. Evidence for woodworking is not apparent but some pieces may have been torn or snapped. Wood species include willow, hazel, birch and oak. The site lies in well-humified Sphagnum and Eriophorum peat containing occasional Calluna. It is situated 5m NW of SMR OF015-239----. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1996. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
