The National Monuments Service's description

The site (Wth 2m; D 0.52m) consists of a band of irregularly laid brushwood and twigs in opposing drain faces. The principal concentration (Wth 1.1m; D 0.14m) includes a dense deposit of twigs and brushwood, up to eleven pieces deep. A second, less compact group of wood is recorded to the SE at a slightly lower depth and may represent a second site. A number of metal-cut toolmarks are noted. Wood species include alder, oak, hazel and willow. The site is situated in poorly to moderately humified Sphagnum peat. It is one of thirteen sites in close proximity in a 30m stretch of this drain and is located 0.4m from the NW end of SMR OF015-261----, 0.6m from the SE end of SMR OF015-244---- and 0.08m above SMR OF015-246----.
