The National Monuments Service's description
The site (Wth 2.07m; D 0.42m) consists of a spread of brushwood and twigs in opposing drain faces. The brushwood (diam. 0.01-0.05m) is laid up to six pieces deep. A structure cannot be discerned although all the pieces are quite regularly deposited in an approximately NE-SW direction. The twigs are more compactly grouped towards the centre of the site. A small concentration of brushwood is noted towards the NE end of the exposure where the depth of the site is 0.2m. Woodworking is noted on two elements. Wood species include birch, hazel, oak, alder and willow. The site is situated in well-humified Sphagnum peat containing a significant quantity of twigs, leaves and roots. It is one of a number of sites of similar form which are noted in this drain, including SMR OF015-214---- located 3.7m to the SE, SMR OF015-236---- located 2.2m to the SE and SMR OF015-234---- situated 2.8m to the NW.
