The National Monuments Service's description
The site (Wth 1.38m; D 0.12m) consists of a compact arrangement of brushwood and light roundwoods in the drain face. The brushwood (diam. 0.02-0.053m) is laid up to two pieces deep. The pieces are largely orientated NE-SW. The wood is concentrated in a band (Wth 0.8m), with some outlying brushwood also recorded to the SE. Wood species include hazel, oak, birch and willow. The site is situated in well-humified Sphagnum peat. It occurs directly NE of SMR OF015-212---- whose components are similarly orientated. The sites may be related although the wood species composition of the two are different. The site is also located 1.4m SE of SMR OF015-236---- and 3.7m SE of SMR OF015-215----.
